Thorben is originally from a small village near Bremen. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena and his thesis within our group, Thorben is now continuing his master’s degree at the same place. He started as student research assistant to support the paleobiotech project.
Outside of the lab, Thorben loves to go hiking and mountaineering. Besides that, he restores and drives old motorcycles.
