In 2018, Patricia completed her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and in 2021, her master’s degree in chemical chemistry, both at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. One year later, she started as a doctoral student in the group of Prof Winckler on her research project “Folic acid as intercellular signal molecule in the multicellular development of social amoebae”. From July 2024 to August 2025 she was on parental leave.
In April 2026, Patricia joined the Stallforth lab group as a guest scientist. Since Prof Winckler will go to retirement soon, she is in a transition phase and will be finalising her work in the Stallforth lab.
