During the LNDW (Jena Science Night) 2022, we presented our research topics to the general local public, including people of all ages. After an introduction at our info station, we guided our guests through the laboratories where they could observe tardigrades under microscopes or experiment with fluorescing compounds. The youngest guests could even slip into the roles of archaeologists and excavate ancient bones and other “remains” – sweets in this case.
