Shuaibing studied Pharmacy at the Hebei University, China. For his master’s degree he changed place to the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he finished his degree under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ji-Kai Liu. In his thesis he studied secondary metabolites of higher fungi and their bioactivities. After obtaining his master degree in June 2017, he moved to South-Central University for Nationalities where he started working as a research assistant in Prof. Dr. Ji-Kai Liu’s lab. In September 2018, he joined Pierre’s group as a PhD student where he explored the ecological role of natural products in amoeba-bacteria interactions. In December 2022, he successfully defended his PhD thesis and continued working in Pierres group as a postdoc.
