The Leibniz Drug of the Year 2026 is the peptide pyrofactin. The selection took place at the Leibniz Conference on Bioactive Compounds 2026 in Aachen. The interdisciplinary team from the Leibniz-HKI and Friedrich Schiller University was honored with this award based on the publication in Cell.
